Scott and I pulled out the tennis rackets this evening and played for the first time since September. We were more than rusty, but enjoyed ourselves. Scott always seems to be able to bounce back faster then me after a break in our playing. He beat me 3-1 in our first match of the season, but I'll get better. The good news is that I think I am more patient with my tennis game and with Scott after this long long winter. I am usually a very poor loser when I comes to tennis, but tonight I was quite sportsman like if I do say so myself.

That comes from underneath and pulses and hurts even before it comes to the surface? I have one of those coming right between my eyes.

Today was the last day of my horrendous Tuesday-Thursday class schedule, and to celebrate I'm posting on our blog. I know...lame...but we're old, tired grown-ups now. Anyway, today in my Creative Arts class with Dr. Ballam (which I affectionately call "Mormon Nuggets" because of the repeatedly blatant LDS propaganda that we spews from the stage while teaching; it's just not the place, that whole separation of church and state thing, you know?) we listened to Pachelbel's Canon in D. It's a nice piece, so I didn't mind. Anyway, it reminded me of a particular YouTube video someone once shared with us, that I know Jentry absolutely loves. She's going to be jealous that I posted in one here first, because I know she's searched for it numerous times without any luck. What can I say, I'm a search engine masta' (aside from being an old, tired grown-up, I'm also a huge nerd. That's what you get reading a scientist's family's blog...)! Anyway, enjoy, it's pretty humorous.

It's that time of year again and my boys are hot. Starting with a win on the road in Houston. They play again tonight so keep a little place in your heart for them. I think Kyle Korver is the cutest, Ronnie Brewer is my favorite, and D. Williams the best, what about you?

We flew out to Denver this weekend to see Scott's sister Ellen get married. It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever attended and everything went so well the entire weekend. She was beautiful and we got to see a lot of family that we haven't seen is such a long time. We got one picture before our batteries died, but it was a very nice picture of the new couple.
Bonus: The Jazz beat the Nuggets on Saturday night and I got to watch it with a bunch of Nuggets fans.

In our effort to produce less waste and save some money we have found the following products and we love them:
Dr Bronner's Peppermint Soap We love this soap because it is
* Completely Biodegradable and Vegetable-Based
* Made with Certified Fair Trade and Organic Oils
* Multi-Purpose: 18-in-1 Uses
* No Synthetic Foaming Agents, Thickeners or Preservatives
* 100% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) Cylinder Bottles and Paper Labels
You can use this soap for just about anything, laundry, dishes, shampoo, carpet cleaner, it's great. We just use it in the shower and it makes your skin all tingly because of the peppermint. It is as concentrated as you can get so it only takes a little bit to get lots of suds.
Crystal Body Deodorant We love this because the Crystal deodorants are composed of mineral salts which form a topical layer on the skin, creating an environment impossible for bacteria to thrive. They eliminate the odor-causing bacteria and therefore prevent body odor. Plus it lasts for a whole year. This is the best find ever. You can also use it on your feet, no white stuff, no sticky stuff.
Pureology Hair Care This stuff is a bit on the luxurious side, but by buying the really expensive shampoo and conditioner it is very concentrated and doesn't have any waxes in it so it doesn't make your hair greasy and then you don't have to wash your hair every day. Plus it also has peppermint in it so your head is all tingly.
We love all this stuff and are planning on buying more when it all runs out.

Checked out this wicked awesome car that gets 300 miles to the gallon.
EDIT by Scott: I thought I would add this video about the car. While it might not have the extra seating and other comforts that most sedans have these days, it is still a pretty cool car. What surprised me most is that the car will reportedly sell for only $26,900. That's pretty cheap considering all the technology that went into making it. Watch the following videos:
